Dr. Kevin Almerico is a pulmonologist in Miami, FL and is affiliated with Baptist Hospital and South Miami Hospital. Born and raised in Tampa, Dr. Almerico attended the University of South Florida where he obtained his Bachelor of Science in BioMedical Science, MS Aging and Neuroscience.

He then went to medical school at St. Matthew’s School of Medicine where he graduated with honors. He performed his Internal Medicine residency at Florida Atlantic University. He completed a Pulmonary and Critical Care fellowship at Beaumont Hospital, Royal Oak and Farmington Hills in Royal Oak, MI. Subsequently, he completed a Sleep Medicine fellowship at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, MI. After fellowship, he moved to Miami to join Miami Pulmonary Specialists.

He specializes in treating all pulmonary diseases with a particular interest in sleep disorders such as Obstructive Sleep Apnea, Central Sleep Apnea, Narcolepsy and Insomnia. He is quadruple boarded in Internal Medicine, Pulmonary Medicine, Critical Care Medicine, and Sleep Medicine.
