I was searching for a pulmonologist and saw that Dr. Hernandez had five star reviews so I decided to make an appointment with him. The wait was about 30 minutes. The office is very new and beautiful. Staff very pleasant. I told him all my concerns and he was actually listening and not rushing to leave. He explained to me step by step what he thought and what the plan was going to be. He was very personable with a great bedside manner. I felt comfortable with the plan he put me on. I’ve been to other pulmonologists before that made me feel like I need to get a second opinion, but after I saw Dr. Hernandez, I knew I found the right pulmonologist.

Meeting Dr. Michael J Hernandez has been life-changing. I was originally referred to Dr. Hernandez and his amazing staff by my ENT specialist. I am in my early 70s, and though I’ve dealt with asthma on-and-off for my entire life, it had resurfaced and progressively worsened during my 50s. My condition became so severe, that I thought I had developed COPD. It was extremely difficult to go to work each morning, and I always felt almost entirely out of breath. I was placed on steroids, including Prednisone and Albuterol, which I relied on daily just to be able to go to work. My first visit with Dr. Hernandez was in late 2019, and he immediately assured me I did not have COPD, which was a relief, to say the least. Amongst the excellent care Dr. Hernandez and his staff has provided me, the most impactful has been his advocacy for a treatment that has completely changed my life. I feel better than I have felt in MANY years. I experience absolutely no wheezing and shortness of breath, and I have been off Prednisone and Albuterol for the past nine months. I am extremely grateful for the dedication of Dr. Hernandez and his staff. Thank you.

I used to go to Another practice on sunset and 62 ave and it was a disaster. The staff was unfriendly, not willing to help. The doctor I saw there was uninterested in listening and helping me figure out what was wrong. A friend of mine recommended Dr. Michael Hernández and what a difference. First of all, every person I communicated with at the office was friendly and professional, always willing to help. The office was beautiful and clean. I did not wait very long, which I appreciated very much as a working professional. Dr. Hernandez came in right away. He has a very friendly and calm demeanor. He asked a lot of questions and listened intently. He made some changes to my current medications and added some new ones, and I haven’t felt better. I finally feel like myself again. After being bounced around MDs and not finding the real issue with my health, I was referred to Dr. Hernández. Unlike any other MD I got to see, I felt welcomed and treated with respect. To see a doctor during a pandemic made me feel insecure about going but the staff made me feel comfortable, safe and took all preventive measures for an enjoyable appointment. Dr. Hernández was able to diagnose me and treat me. I’m due for a follow up soon but I have already started to feel much much better. I owe it to Dr. Hernández for my health and my well being.

Dr Hernandez staff was able to quickly validate my insurance being in network. My appointment was on time which never happens at most dr offices. Dr Hernandez and staff had the latest technology to diagnose my medical problem and followed up w my care with a follow up visit and a phone call.

I was able to schedule an appointment with ease for a complete exam and pulmonary lung function test in his office (saving me from having to schedule a secondary appointment at an offsite location).

My father is 87 and experiencing chronic asthma with allergy symptoms. I contacted them via Google and someone immediately got back to me and offered assistance. Even though walk-ins are not permitted anymore they truly tried . They are truly amazing . I’m grateful for attention and wonderful patient service. They were truly empathetic and were trying their best. Will post again after I get an appointment with them, but regardless just the interaction via text and over the phone have been amazing.
